Introduction
Simile is a non-custodial gifting and recurring-investment application built for BNB Chain. The current public release operates on BNB Smart Chain Mainnet and supports approved tokenized market assets and ERC-20 assets configured by Simile.
Lock BNB or BNB Chain assets inside a smart contract and share a private claim link.
The claim secret remains inside the link and is revealed only when the recipient claims.
Create prefunded weekly or monthly transfers to a selected recipient wallet.
Simile does not hold your wallet keys or request your seed phrase.
How it works
The smart contract records the gift amount, asset, unlock date and expiration. The recipient uses the private key embedded in the claim link to authorize delivery to their connected wallet.
Supported BNB Chain assets
The mainnet release includes BNB and provider-configured ERC-20 assets:
They may be issued by third-party providers for use on BNB Chain and may carry real financial value and jurisdictional restrictions.
Create a gift
- Open the Simile app and connect an EVM-compatible wallet.
- Select BNB or one of the supported BNB Chain assets.
- For an ERC-20 asset, use the wallet funding and approve Simile to transfer the selected amount.
- Confirm the gift transaction in your wallet.
- Copy the generated private claim link and send it securely to the recipient.
Anyone who obtains the complete private claim link may be able to claim the gift. Treat the link like money and share it privately.
Claim a gift
Open the private claim link, connect the destination wallet and confirm the claim. The contract verifies the secret, gift status, unlock time and expiration before transferring the asset.
Recurring investment plans
Recurring plans are currently prefunded. The sender deposits the complete amount required for all scheduled payments when creating the plan.
Simile cannot silently withdraw funds from a connected wallet every month. Prefunding provides predictable authorization and keeps the rules onchain.
Security model
- Simile never asks for a seed phrase or private key.
- Transactions are signed inside the user's wallet.
- Gift state is stored onchain.
- A gift cannot be claimed twice.
- Expired gifts can follow the refund rules implemented by the contract.
The Simile contracts are experimental and have not been independently audited. Mainnet use involves real financial risk; review the contracts and use only amounts you can afford to lose.
